"BUDAPEST SZLADEKY" is stamped on the shackle. "20548" is stamped on the original key. There is a brazed repair. This lock was used on mail bags and cash bags. Made for: Hungarian Royal Mail. Mfg by: Alajos and Ignacz Szladeky, Budapest Hungary. The Szladeky Brothers were locksmiths at the very beginning of the 1900's in Budapest Hungary. They made padlocks, locks, and safes.
