Click to Enlarge Image Blank - MERCER.... 3" high x 4 1/2" wide x 1 1/2" diameter. Iron construction. The lock is well made and heavy and the shackle looks very Germanic with the shrouding around the toe. The key reminds me of keys made in Afghanistan. It is unusual as it is cut-away on 4 sides. As the key turns you can see the sleeve in the keyhole being withdrawn into the key shaft. The brass tag attached to the key is stamped 107 on one side and MERCER 11 & ERIE on the other side.
