Commemorative Padlocks
Click to Enlarge Image "DAN PATCH" - Nickel Finish. 2 3/4" high x 2" wide. Iron case. Iron shackle. Nickel plated. Solid barrel key. Some locks have "MADE IN U S A" stamped on the obverse of the case at 7 o'clock. Commemorates the fastest horse in the world at that time. Foaled on April 29, 1896, and died on July 11, 1916. Made for: Marion W. Savage, the owner of "Dan Patch". Mfg by: Excelsior Lock Co.
EF40. Operating key. 75% of the nickel finish remains.

Made for: Kansas City Suburban Belt Railroad Co. 12.0 miles of track. Incorporated January 8, 1887 as "The Kansas City Suburban Belt Railroad Co.". This was the first Railroad name of "The Kansas City Southern Railway Co.".      History...   More...
