There are some inconsistencies with this lock. There is a second assist spring
made of steel on the lever that holds the shackle when the lock is open. The
width of the fence face is .090". On the #2 lever the opening of the first gate
is .120" and the opening on the second gate is .090". The fence will not go into
the gate opening. On the #3 lever the opening of the first gate is .110" and the
opening on the second gate is only .045". We do not know what Miller was thinking about when making this lock. Made for: Pittsburgh Cincinnati & St. Louis. Mfg by: D. K. Miller Lock Co. (154.0). "Courtesy Mike Pitman" |
